A. In the event of the marriage of the person engaged this agreement and all rights, benefits and advantages hereby

reserved to the person engaged shall determine forthwith:

Provided that the Government may by writing agree to continue the employment of the person engaged hereunder from month to

month subject to one month's notice in writing by either

party, and if the person engaged-shell agree to continue in

such employment she shall thereafter be paid monthly such

salary in dollars as may be equivalent to that which she you

would have been paid had such marriage not taken place and

this agreement remained in force. In the event of the

vill determination of this agreement under this clause the person

engaged anall not have any claim against the Government for

free passage from the Colony or for half salary on any

wiht be hi voyage thence and the person engaged shall repay to the

Government the cost of her passage to the Colony.

B. The person engaged shall at her election either:

(1) enter into such agreement as the Crown Agents for the

Colonies may require, with one sufficient surety approved of

by the Crown Agents, to repay to the Government on demand the

coat of any passage to the Colony the cost whereof may be

repayable by the person engaged under the terms of this

agreement, or,

(2) permit the Goverment to deduct and retain from the

salary payable hereunder a sum equivalent to fifteen per cent

of such salary, and any sums so deducted and retained by the

Government shall, without prejudice to any other remedy by

the Government against the person engaged, be applied to the

repayment to the Government of the cost of any passage the

cost whereof may be repayable by the person engaged under the terms of this agreement: Provided always that if the person

engaged shall serve hereunder for the whole of the term of the

engagement, or if this agreement shall be determined under

clause 5(1) or clause 7 (1) hereof the amount so deducted

shall be repaid to the person engaged.
